Our Story
Reyes Ink isn't a walk-in shop. It's a private studio in Miami dedicated entirely to the craft of custom tattooing — built on eight years of focused mastery, one client at a time.
Miguel Reyes
FOUNDER & LEAD ARTIST
The Origin
Miguel Reyes didn't open Reyes Ink to fill a chair. He built it because he couldn't find a studio in Miami that treated tattooing the way he believed it deserved to be treated — as fine art, not a transaction. After years working in traditional shops and watching clients settle for generic designs pulled from a binder, Miguel made a decision: everything from scratch, or nothing at all.
He spent his foundational years studying the anatomy of black-and-grey realism, obsessing over shading techniques, ink behavior, and how light and shadow interact with skin tone over decades. Every hour of those early years was dedicated to mastering the technical precision that separates a good tattoo from one that stops strangers on the street. That foundation is what Reyes Ink is built on.
Today, the studio operates by appointment only in a private space in Miami's NW 2nd Avenue corridor — no walk-ins, no flash sheets, no compromises. Every client who books a consultation leaves with a design that was conceived specifically for their body, their story, and their vision. Eight years in, that commitment has never wavered.

Our Purpose
Our mission is simple and uncompromising: to create permanent artwork that clients carry with pride for the rest of their lives. We believe the tattooing process should feel as elevated as the result — thoughtful, collaborative, and completely personal from the first consultation to the final needle pass.
At Reyes Ink, we reject the idea that a tattoo is just a service. It is a commitment — to craft, to the client's vision, and to the longevity of the work itself. That means we will never rush a design, never reuse a concept, and never let a client leave with anything less than exactly what was promised. Miami deserves a tattoo studio that takes the art as seriously as the people wearing it do.
Precision.
Depth.
Permanence.
What We Stand For
These aren't marketing words — they are the operational principles behind every design decision, client interaction, and needle stroke that happens inside the Reyes Ink studio.
Technical mastery is not optional — it is the baseline. Miguel spends as much time refining a design on paper as he does tattooing it on skin, because the work must be perfect before a single needle touches the client. Good enough has never been part of the Reyes Ink vocabulary.
Every concept begins with a deep conversation about who the client is and what this piece means to them. The design serves the person wearing it, not the artist's ego. We listen before we draw, and we draw until the vision is right — not just close enough.
No flash. No recycled concepts. No two clients ever leave with the same design. Each tattoo is engineered from a blank canvas specifically for the person who will wear it — their body proportions, skin tone, and personal narrative all inform every line and shadow in the composition.
The private studio model exists because great tattooing requires focus and trust. Clients deserve a space where they feel heard, comfortable, and completely at ease — not a noisy shop floor where they're one of six appointments happening simultaneously. Privacy is part of the experience.
The Artist
FOUNDER · LEAD ARTIST · MIAMI, FL
Miguel Reyes has spent the better part of a decade doing one thing: becoming the best black-and-grey realism and fine line tattoo artist in Miami. That singular focus has produced a portfolio of work that ranges from hyper-realistic portraiture — faces rendered with photographic accuracy across entire sleeves — to delicate botanical fine line pieces that read like illustrations inked directly onto skin. Every specialty was earned through thousands of hours of intentional practice, not luck.
What separates Miguel's approach from most artists isn't just technical ability — it's his process. Before any design is drawn, he sits with the client to understand the story behind the piece. Where does it live on the body? What does it mean in five years, in twenty? How does the composition interact with the natural curves and movement of that specific person? These questions shape every design decision, from concept to final execution.
Reyes Ink runs a waitlist that typically extends three months out — not as a gimmick, but as a natural result of operating a private, one-artist studio with no compromises on quality. Miguel takes only as many appointments as he can execute with full creative attention. If you want to work with him, the process starts with a consultation — and that conversation alone is worth the visit.

Client Words
The best validation is a client who wears the work proudly for life — and tells everyone who asks exactly where it came from.
Miguel does the most insane realism I've ever seen in person. My portrait sleeve gets stopped everywhere. People genuinely can't believe it's a tattoo until they get close enough to touch it. The level of detail in the shading is unlike anything I've seen from any other artist.

MIAMI CLIENT
Private studio, no walk-ins, fully custom — worth every penny. Booked out 3 months for a reason. I've been to a dozen shops over the years and nothing compares to the level of attention Miguel gives to every single piece. The wait is part of knowing it'll be done right.

MIAMI CLIENT
Came in with a rough idea and left with a piece I'll have forever. The consultation alone sold me. Miguel asked questions I hadn't even thought about — placement, how it would age, what it would mean to me in ten years. That kind of care shows up in the final work in a very real way.
